About Gomber Art

Hi! My name is Mali (pronounced like sally), known online as Gomber (pronounced like somber). 

 She/her

 

I'm a 20 year old artist working out of Rhode Island.

I've been an artist my entire life, selling my first pieces at age 6.

In 2020 I finally decided to turn my practice into a career.

I've always had a passion for storytelling alongside my art. Since I was little I would write short stories and illustrate them, and still to this day I always write a small story for each illustration I make.

I'm currently working on publishing my first graphic novel, and I have many more in the works.

My main skill set is illustration and concept art/character design, focusing on horror and fantasy.

I generally work in a  graphic rendering style that takes some inspiration from manga in the line work and blends simplicity and realism in the colouring.

I'm currently focusing on working for myself both online and by doing artisan markets and galleries, but I'm looking to expand and work in the industry soon.

My passion for art truly cannot be understated.

There is nothing in this world that brings me more joy than going to work.
